I’ve been looking for someone to help me create more recipes & content for my website Simply Plant Based Kitchen. It took me a while to find the right person because I’m pretty picky with recipe requirements.
Recipes must be whole food plant-based, oil-free, simple, and most importantly DELICIOUS!
There aren’t a ton of vegan recipe developers out there who are familiar with the strict requirements of our WFPB world. So finding the perfect person took a while.
But I did!
And I do believe in fate, destiny, and kismet. Nothing is a coincidence.
Because I found her through Chef AJ!
How I Met Hannah
The last time I was on Chef AJ’s show, she asked if I knew Hannah, a friend of hers who lived in Austin. I said no, but I would love to meet her!
We went to lunch together at Casa De Luz – GREAT whole food plant-based restaurant in Austin – just to meet & chat. I mentioned that I was getting super busy with creating content and really needed to find someone to help me.
Hannah says, “I’m a recipe developer. That’s what I do!”
OMG I got goosebumps. I couldn’t believe it. It was meant to be.
I knew that Hannah was a food photographer and she had done all the photography for Chef AJ’s cookbooks, but didn’t know that she also did recipe development. And knowing she’s worked with Chef AJ, I knew she understand the WFPB world and specifications.
Plus, if you’ve seen Chef AJ’s cookbooks, like her new one Sweet Indulgence coming out in August 2024, you KNOW how beautiful the photography is!

Thank you for warm welcome for Hannah!
I have several of Hannah’s cookbooks and enjoy her recipes and her shining spirit that comes thru in every book. Looking forward to seeing more from her.
That’s so awesome you are already familiar with her recipes. Thank you for sharing!
Welcome Hannah! We look forward to seeing your recipe creations and more pictures of Luka, what a cutie.
Thank you for welcoming Hannah! We are happy she’s here with us.
Awesome! So looking forward to trying her recipes as I’m hoping to get my hubby on board with wfpb. I’ve been doing it for a little over 2 years and have yet to get him on the same boat. I’m hoping that with some better main dish recipes I can get him on board and other family members as well. For me it has to be simple not a lot of crazy ingredients ( spice stuff etc)that I have to spend so much money on only to use once because the recipe was sub par. I enjoy trying new foods and food combinations so this should be a real treat. Welcome Hannah!!!!
Thank you for your nice comment! It will be great to get your husband and family members on board. We will keep that in mind that you are looking for more main dish recipes that have easy to find ingredients with not a lot of spice. We understand not wanting to buy a bunch of ingredients you won’t use again.
So looking forward to more wonderful recipes. We have our favorites of your recipes, but we need very easy to make food with your requirements. We specifically look for those. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words! We are glad you enjoy the recipes we post. We will keep posting easy to make recipes.
