My Favorite No-Oil Salad Dressings & Dips

Probably the hardest part of starting a whole food plant-based diet is learning that you have to go without oil. I find that is the hang-up for most people, and it can be a difficult barrier.

But don’t worry! Your life will not be without flavor and enjoyment! And you also don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen concocting salad dressings.

Here are my favorite oil-free dressings and dips that will save you time without sacrificing your health.

Favorite No-Oil Balsamic Vinaigrettes & Vinegars

I get my favorite balsamic dressings from California Balsamic. If you haven’t heard of California Balsamic, you are missing out!

They have absolutely INCREDIBLE oil-free balsamic flavors.

You can even get sampler packs to try a few different flavors and then buy bigger bottles of your favorites. I actually like to get a bunch of the 3-ounce bottles because they can fit in your purse and even go in your carry-on when flying!

Favorite No-Oil WFPB “Cheese” Dip

Yes, there is a whole food plant-based “cheese” Dip that has NO OIL and is all real food & spice ingredients!

Siete Foods is based out of Austin, TX and these non-dairy nacho cheese dips are the real deal! I’ve even served it at parties and even the omnivores were impressed. It has the perfect nacho-cheese consistency!

I love to have it on tacos or with raw veggies. Or its great with some homemade baked tortilla chips! It’s also amazing to make some ultimate nachos with baked tortilla chips, beans, quinoa or brown rice, jalapeños, green onions, guacamole, pico, & nacho cheese sauce. Delish!

Favorite No-Oil Hummus

I LOVE hummus, but finding store-bought, OIL-FREE hummus can be tricky.

There are a few brands I can sometimes find at Whole Foods and other stores.

Cedar’s has a Fat & Oil Free original hummus that’s great.

But my favorite is actually the Cedar’s Baba Ghannouj – which, if you aren’t familiar, is roasted eggplant drip, and it’s DELISH!

If you can’t find oil-free store-bought hummus, no worries! It’s super easy to make your own with a food processor. Hummus is a great dip for raw veggies or whole grain pita, but can also be used as a sandwich or wrap spread.
